Sometimes, fighting can be a necessary thing. Self-defense training can be great, but if you don’t put yourself in realistic situations, your body may not know how to default to what you learned in the class and you’ll be no better off for having trained. That’s where our situational fighting class comes in.
Class 1
Non-contact situational walkthroughs. You’ll go through the scenarios, with detailed instruction without any danger. We’ll get you in contact with some pads in these scenarios so you can practice your technique at a more realistic speed.
Class 2
We’ll pair you up with a partner (or rotate through partners so you don’t get too comfortable with the size of the first person you’re partnered with – depending on group size). This class involves minimal contact and will more accurately simulate where these situations can go. We will focus on stand-up technique, ground technique, and proper movement to put yourself in the best situation possible to take advantage of the untrained attackers lack of proper technique. This will help you take down people that are much larger than you and allow you to properly get to safety. Because this does involve sparring with a partner, we require full pads to be worn during this class to prevent injury.
Class 3
With this final class in the sequence, we will put it all together. There will be full contact sparring and real-world situations, including defense from multiple attackers, weapons, and one-on-one. We recommend going through this particular class a few times to get even more experience with these real-world techniques so you are trained and prepared should the situation arise in the real-world. Discounts are available for repeat sessions and we will attempt to cover different real-world situations if your entire group books for multiple sessions of FSST.
